What should be known before you purchase a mining locomotive?
1. First of all, what kind of mining that you wanna to use the locomotive?
If you are going to use it in a metal mining such as gold, cooper, zinc and ect. The explosion-proof are non-needed, you can choose both wire trolley locomotive or battery(lead acid or lithium) locomotives, the controller can be the most economic type, resistance controller.
But for the wire trolley locomotive, it will need to known the DC voltage be 250v or 550V.
If you are going to use it in a coal mining or the place with explosive gas, the locomotive you can choose can only be battery type, and it will requires all the electric parts of locomotive need to be anti-explosion, such as its motors, controllers, Led lights, horn and ect.
2. Secondly, what’s the operation slope?
The operation slope is quietly related with the traction force of the locomotives. The more bigger of the slope, the little traction force will it have. Usually, the normal operation slope is in 3‰, which in that range, the locomotive can be at its best power. And here i also how to calculate the locomotive traction force that our factory manufacturers.
Use a 2.5 Ton battery locomotive as a example, the traction force usually 10 times of the locomotive itself weight and cut of itself weight, that’s is 2.5×10-2.5=20-22 Ton more or less. However, the 20-22 ton means total max weight can a 2.5ton battery locomotive be pulled.
3. Thirdly, what’s the transporation distance?
This questions would related to the type choose of the mining locomotives. That’s the battery locomotive is usually suitable for a short distanct transportation such as 1-3km while the trolley locomotive suitable for a long distance transportation 5km more above.
4. Last, What’s the mining envirnoment for the place that going to use the locomotive?
This points can be speak out with different small points, such as what’s the humidity, dust in the minings? whats the rails specifications in your minings? does it have many curves and many up and down? those questions are related to the different configuration of locomotives, such as if the factory need to enhance the hardness of the wheels or enhance the water proof level and ect according to the different type of working conditions.
Above 4 points are the key factors that should be known before you purchased a mining locomotives, hope it will helps you. For any other things need to be know welcome to inquiry on us.
